Business model Dachser’s business model includes transport logistics for distribution and procurement, warehousing, and customized value-added services. The Road Logistics business field comprises two business lines: European Logistics (industrial goods) and Food Logistics. The second pillar of the company, Dachser Air & Sea Logistics, operates in global markets, providing air and sea freight services as well as warehousing services. Comprehensive activities, such as management of global supply chains and industry-specific solutions, round out the range of services offered. With Dachser DIY-Logistics and Dachser Chem-Logistics, the logistics provider has already successfully established two corporate solutions on the international logistics markets.

Market Based on the TOP 100 studies 2020/21 (Germany) and 2019/20 (Europe) by the Fraunhofer Working Group for Supply Chain Services, Dachser is currently market leader in the German groupage market and number two in the European market. In the overall German logistics market, Dachser currently occupies third place and 13th place at European level. Dachser also holds leading positions in the German market for FTL/LTL services (2nd place, Europe 9th) and consumer goods contract logistics (2nd). In air freight, Dachser ranks 7th in Germany and in sea freight the company occupies 8th place. In food logistics, Dachser is one of the two leading providers in Germany and among the top 10 in Europe.
